From the streets to both ends of the leash

Operation K-911 was founded on years of experience working in high-pressure environments where communication, trust, and teamwork matter.

Before becoming a professional dog trainer, I spent 10 years working as a paramedic before transitioning into law enforcement. I served for seven years as a Deputy with the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, including five years as a K-9 Handler alongside my partner, K9 Stitch.

Stitch was a dual-purpose K9 imported from the Czech Republic. He was trained in narcotics detection, search & track, and criminal apprehension. After years of working by my side in law enforcement, Stitch has traded in his days of chasing bad guys and finding drugs for a slightly less demanding position as “support staff” for Operation K-911.

Since 2023, I have specialized in behavioral modification and challenging dogs—the dogs who are reactive, fearful, anxious, aggressive, impulsive, out of control, or simply making everyday life harder than it needs to be. I’m not interested in putting a Band-Aid on a bullet hole. I want to understand what’s driving the dog’s behavior, address it at its source, and teach both ends of the leash how to speak the same language, in a balanced and fair manner.

At Operation K-911, we build better dogs, more confident pack leaders, and stronger relationships. We give owners their lives back. We make it possible to invite people into the home again. We make walks enjoyable instead of dreading them. We make public access possible. We form trust and understanding so you can actually enjoy the dog you love so much!
